Re: Adama Traorè
Moorethan - not sure that is the case mate - Snodgrass was very good at Hull scoring and assists at Hull, Traore got one assist all season. When you look at Traore's highlight reel' he has ice to burn, but little else. Even fegs scored created more.

Re: Adama Traorè
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this signing would be a big deal / the answer to all our problems / the limit of our ambition.

Just that for the right price worth having in the squad, serious investment needed in the striking deptartment at the very least.

Re: Adama Traorè
From the very little I've seen this kid has something, granted the finished article he is not but if I were to compare this lads highlight reel against that of Snodgrass, Calleri, Zaza or Feghouli last season he doesn't look like a bad signing at all.

If the price is right, this lad is only 21, a final ball can be developed for sure.

Re: Adama Traorè
We bought 'proven talent' in January. Look how that turned out.

I'd go for an Antonio over a Snodgrass right now. Get the kid in.

Re: Adama Traorè
Actually this sounds more like a Sullivan target to me. He loves stats and if he was told that the best dribbler in all of Europe was available he'd be well in.

If we do get him then you know that stat will be all over every press release.

Re: Adama Traorè
The thing is, Sullivan is a smart man - he must know this is a wild punt. He should just turn around to whoever is pursuing Traore and say 'Fuck no, not while I'm boss'

He needs proven talent, people with stats who back their career history. The lessons of past transfers need to be taken onboard.

Let's not forget that Everton will be losing their best 2 players in Lukaku and Barkley shortly though.

Re: Adama Traorè
The transfer policy of this in is a fucking joke if we pay £10m for Traore.

No assists, no goals - poor crosser.

What, so we try and polish him up over te seasons?

I bought a new car the other day. Can't wait to spend two years fixing it so it's roadworthy.

Re: Adama Traorè
Another prospective waste of money. What is it about my club that they persevere in the belief that you can polish a turd?

Re: Adama Traorè
Taking a £10m punt on a bloke who a lot of Boro reckon was their worst player last season

What a time to be alive

Re: Adama Traorè
Everton building momentum by all accounts...Pickford, Klaasen...now Niang and reportedly Andre Gray.

Given they are our target side to overhaul in the league (them and Southampton), they've certainly set the early pace. All good players in or before their prime, likely to improve and be worth more in the future.

Got to be better than Gokan Tore. We could be the making of him.

Re: Adama Traorè
Difficult to say whether he will ever become the finished article? We seem to be the only ones interested so others clearly think not. No more than a punt then.

Re: Adama Traorè
For the right price he'll be good as a sub to run at teams with the ball.

His pace is ridiculous and he's a well built bugger too.

Not sure he'd be a starter next season and is a work in progress but I'd go for it.

gregan 1:48 Sat Jun 17
Re: Adama Traorè
He knows all about the cross, pass or score problem.

'“People tell me, ‘You are second or first in dribbling’, and that is nice to hear. They say, ‘You do the most dribbling of anyone’, but it’s best when after dribbling, I cross, pass or score.

“It’s important for my place that I do these things. If I don’t do them, the dribbling is pointless. It’s important to cross or score at the end of it.

“Of course, I know my qualities. If I can get past one player, and a team-mate can shoot or score, it’s good for the team. But I’m working so hard on everything because I know there is still a lot I have to improve.”

camel-with-3-humps 1:16 Sat Jun 17
Re: Adama Traorè
Dogshit. Can't pass, cross or score.

Depressing that this is our second summer signing.

Fucking joke club.

Yes mallard, I suggested we sign him a couple months ago.

Re: Adama Traorè
Was this the player that was doing a 'John Barnes' against us at Boro?

Pagey 10:19 Fri Jun 16
Re: Adama Traorè
Please don't compare this bloke to Payet! They are poles apart in terms of ability and what they bring to a team.

He'll be a good signing if he dribbles past 7 players and then we instruct Lanzini to tackle him and play the ball through to the strikers.
